All the calculators on the Journal of NYC (such as the Rent Affordability Calculator or the City Tax Calculator) run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you input your salary or rent, that data never leaves your device. We do not store it, transmit it to our servers, or sell it to data brokers.

2. Analytics

We use privacy-focused analytics (Plausible) to count page views and understand which articles are popular. We do not use Google Analytics. We do not track you across the internet. We do not place third-party marketing cookies on your device.

3. Newsletters

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address securely using our provider. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
